Day 14 - Excel Spreadsheet 3

Today, in class, we downloaded the Excel Spreadsheet 3 template and saved it to the desktop. To begin, we filled in the column entitled "Difference" by subtracting the score of Pretest from the score of the Post Test. Next, we used the "Auto Sum: Average" function to configure the averages of the columns entitled "Pretest", "Post Test", and "Difference". Then, we learned how to fill in the column entitled "Number" by using the "COUNTIF" function to determine the correct number of Males and Females as well as Traditional and Non-traditional students. Following, we filled in the column entitled "Total Students" by using the "Auto Sum: Sum" function. Thereafter, we filled in the column entitled "%" by using simple division, dividing the number of either Males, Females, Traditional, or Non-traditional Students by the number of Total Students and clicking the "Percent Style" key so that the answers would show as percentages . Once that had been completed, we learned how fill in the columns entitled "Pretest" and "Post Test" next to the "%" column by using the "AVERAGEIF" function to determine the Pretest and Post Test range and criteria. We learned how to fill in the column entitled "Gain/Loss or Difference" by using simple subtraction, subtracting the range and criteria of the Pretest from the range and criteria of the Post Test. Finally, we found the averages of the range and criteria of the column entitled "Pretest", the range and criteria of the column entitled "Post Test", and the column entitled "Gain/Loss or Difference" by using the "Auto Sum: Average" function.

Once all the information had been correctly entered, we learned how to create a pie chart of the "Sample Gender" as well as create a bar graph of "Gender Post Average". We also learned how to create a title for each chart and how to move each chart so that it was on its own sheet.
